This information below is designed to help our partners understand and implement the necessary steps for integrating with Livble's AutoPay feature. Livble's AutoPay operations are fully managed by Livble, the primary focus for partners is to ensure seamless user experience and prevent any payment conflicts.


Understanding Livble's AutoPay Functionality

Livble's AutoPay is designed to automate the monthly rent payment process, making it convenient for renters and ensuring landlords receive payments on time. This section outlines the core functionalities of Livble's AutoPay, providing partners with insight into how it works and its advantages.

Core Features

  • Automated Scheduling: AutoPay is scheduled to process rent payments automatically on the 1st of each month. In case the 1st of the month is a non ACH day, we will trigger AutoPay the previous ACH day.

  • User-Friendly Dashboard: Renters have access to a Livble dashboard where they can manage their AutoPay settings, view upcoming payment schedules, and track the status of each payment, enhancing transparency and control over their rent payments.

  • Seamless Landlord Payments: Once an AutoPay is successfully processed, Livble ensures the landlord receives the full rent amount promptly, streamlining the payment process for both parties. Nothing special needed to built by your platform.

  • Email and Push notification communication: Livble will communicate with tenant on success or any errors that may have happened during AutoPay triggering.
    Livble will as well remind the tenant about the upcoming AutoPay schedule 3 days prior to the AutoPay day.

Key Integration Requirements

  1. Partners are required to share users' AutoPay enrollment status in their own systems with Livble through the POST /portal_info endpoint under the autopay_amount_in_cents field. If the field is omitted or set to 0, Livble will interpret that as AutoPay being turned off. This is crucial to prevent duplicate payments and ensure that only one AutoPay system is active at a time, avoiding any potential race conditions.
  2. The update.required webhook has to be implemented in order for autopay to function for a Livble user.

Protocol for Handling AutoPay Enrollments

  • Disabling Lvble AutoPay: When a user is enrolled in a partner's AutoPay system, Livble's AutoPay will be automatically disabled for that user to prevent duplicate transactions or race conditions.
  • User Action for Activation: Users wishing to activate Livble's AutoPay must first unenroll from the partner platform's AutoPay.
